Lake Wylie Dock Builder - Lake Wylie Docks
Hello, my name is Casey Nicholls. I am a licensed marine contractor and have been building docks on Lake Wylie and surrounding lakes since 2003. I was very fortunate to begin working for and learning from one of Lake Wylie's oldest dock building companies; The Master's Construction. Bill McGinn, the founder of The Master's Construction, began building docks on Lake Wylie in the late 70's and officially retired in 2013 after 35 years in the business. I worked for Bill for 10 years and sincerely miss my time with him - he had seen and done it all when it came to dock construction.
I moved to the Carolina's from Ontario, Canada where I ran a network consulting company. I grew up swimming, fishing and boating along the St. Lawrence River and vacationing at the many beaches and area campgrounds. Although my original background and education had been in the information technology field I have always found peace by the water.
When I am not building on the lake or meeting with customers I am on my own boat enjoying our beautiful lake with friends and family. I met my wife Carrie on the docks at River Hills Marina. Carrie and I each enjoy the boating lifestyle as much as the other. We also enjoy motorcycle rides to the mountains, scuba diving (we are both certified open water divers) and travelling to boat shows looking for new ideas. I'm a proud father of my 6 year old son Max whom you'll often see with me looking at new jobs and checking on the progress of those under construction. My step-children Brian and Brittany enjoy the boating lifestyle and come out as often as they can too. We are a family of boaters and understand the excitement and challenges that go along with owning a boat and configuring a dock for safety and convenience.
Although most most of my time is spent behind a desk these days, I am personally onsite everyday managing each project and my amazing team of talented carpenters.
