Custom lakeside dock completed in August 2025, inspired by WaterJack owner’s personal dock
LAKE WYLIE, SC — WaterJack Marine Construction, a premier marine contractor and a TrexPro® Platinum builder serving Lake Wylie and surrounding lakes since 2003, designed and built the HGTV® Dream Home 2026 dock, completing construction in August 2025.
Early in the design process, Nicolls shared photos with the HGTV team of a dock WaterJack built for his own family in 2024. That personal dock layout and style became the inspiration for the Dream Home 2026 dock, with several upgraded features incorporated specifically for the HGTV build.
Key enhancements include a custom spiral staircase, along with a combination of glass handrail and cable rail systems, creating a modern, high-end look while maintaining safety, strength, and long-term durability in a waterfront environment.
Trex® was also a major sponsor of the HGTV Dream Home 2026, and WaterJack built the dock using Trex decking and Trex railing and handrail systems. WaterJack Marine Construction is the only dock builder on Lake Wylie to hold the TrexPro® Platinum builder accreditation.
Designed to complement the home’s architecture and enhance the outdoor living experience, the dock showcases WaterJack’s signature blend of craftsmanship, clean structural lines, and attention to detail, while meeting the demands of a nationally recognized showcase home.
