WaterJack Marine Construction

Casey and his team at WaterJack installed a 2-tier aluminum dock and boat lift on our property on Lake Hickory - work was flawless, on time, on budget and exactly what we asked for. I highly recommend him and his crew for any of your dock, boat lift, or sea-doo ramp needs!

Doing business with Waterjack is pure pleasure. Casey and his team are great to work with and the whole process from start to finish was smooth and well communicated.  The work product is superb.  I looked at a lot of other builders, either their quality or communication was lacking. Pricing is extremely competitive when comparing apples to apples.  Don't get sucked in by low bids, because by the time you add all the "touches" that Casey provides, you're paying much more.  I highly recommend Casey and Waterjack if you're looking for a dock that is beautiful and adds value to your lake home.

I wish all upgrades were as easy as this was. Casey Nicolls is great to work with. Our project was a new dock on Lake Wylie. Casey suggested we use Trex this time. The dock is beautiful and will be maintenance free for decades.

The work was seamless. The project started on time and finished in record time. The site was kept neat and clean the entire time. Casey took great care with our project always willing to meet with us when it was convenient for us, before, during, and after the completion of the dock. Thank you Casey and your crew.

- Barbara Ferguson, Lake Wylie

Excellent experience before, during, and after the job. Casey is very responsive and took the time to work with us to incorporate all of our desires and still bring it within our budget. Waterjack's crew were very friendly and professional. We will use Waterjack for any future needs and I highly recommend giving them a chance to bid on your project.

Casey and his team at Waterjack are the best in the business for three reasons:
1. Knowledgeable (Waterjack team knows the industry better than anyone out there).
2. Dependable (They are there early and you always know how the job is going).
3. Value: I had an issue with my lift post installation and Casey and his team was there to help support and get it fixed-don't find that these days!

- Scott Neeley, Lake Wylie

Casey did a Terrific job on the install, was patient in answering questions and followed up several times after the install to make sure everything went well. Would definitively recommend Waterjack!

- Anthony Fertita, Badin Lake

The Waterjack team did a fantastic job replacing my dock. They were prompt and efficient and Casey did an excellent job of communicating updates and progess to me.  I would highly recommend them for any of your dock needs!

- Michael Wong, Lake Wylie

Can't say enough great things about the service and finished product I received. Based on friends past experiences with other builders and Waterjack's previous customer experiences I chose them and am happy I did! The amount of extra detail and thought that goes into their designs and finished products made them an obvious choice to me. - Tommy West, Lake Wylie

WaterJack was very helpful in determining what type of lift I needed and the best solution to meet my needs. They were thorough and the installation was professional. The experience exceeded all my expectations! I have been around boating for many years. It is refreshing to work with true professionals. In the boating industry you get what you pay for. Go cheap and expect issues. I feel WaterJack was reasonable and the quality was excellent.

We have been working with Casey and his business for many years on a few different projects. Not only is his craftsmanship impressive but his level of follow through and attention to detail is very tough to find these days. I highly recommend his work and my family has been referring him for many years and will continue to in the future.

Our experience was a good one.  Casey took care of all the permit filings and inspections.  We are very happy with the end result.  Casey guarantees his work and the design is sound.  He handled all of the electrical tie-in from our house to the new dock, the results were truly amazing.  No hidden costs here but as you see what amazing things they can do from a lighting perspective you may end up spending past your budget, but only because you want it.  My suggestion is to review the scope of work with Casey and if you do that there will be no surprises, he is a man of his word and his reputation is solid here in the Lake Wylie area.  We were referred to WaterJack from several friends of ours who they built docks for and we have since recommended WaterJack to a number of our other friends.

From the time we started working with Casey and the WaterJack team designing our boat dock we knew we had made the right choice in builders.  We had a dock that was unsafe and a deteriorating walkway on the shore.  WaterJack came in and worked with us to customize a dock that fits our needs and transitioned it to a rebuilt walkway that works great with our elevation.  It is refreshing to have a team that enjoys what they do and it shows in the quality of their work.  Along the way we made several changes and brought up a few concerns and every time things were addressed without hesitation.  Communication was great, we always knew what the schedule was and any phone call or email was quickly answered.  Having high standards and truly putting the customer first is what we believe sets WaterJack apart.  The end result is better than we were expecting and we are looking forward to enjoying our dock for many years to come.  We have recommended WaterJack to our friends and have nothing but positive feedback for the entire WaterJack TEAM!!

We solicited the services of the top three dock builders on Lake Wylie. I affectionately call them the Lake Wylie Mafia because they are all priced in the same range and they all build very good docks, which made the choice difficult.  We selected WaterJack.  Why? The owner Casey Nicholls clearly listened to our ideas, did not tell us that we "can't do this and can't do that" and then offered several great design options. In the end, he designed a dock that is extremely functional, fit our requirements and looks absolutely awesome.  What really made the difference?  Casey listened and delivered the product we wanted. Despite some of the design challenges. WaterJack found the solutions.  The finishing work and attention to detail. Drive around the lake and look at docks, then look at a WaterJack Dock. There is difference. What are they?  Trim along the roof lines.  Rubber bumper and corner systems not typically seen on the lake that give smooth lines and a neat appearance, not to mention the protection they offer your boat.  Amazing flip down cleats which give the dock a finish that I have never seen before.  Excellent, no strike that, fantastic after the construction follow up (maybe not timely due to work loads, but great nonetheless).  We had two call backs on items that needed "fine tuning" There was no argument, there was none of the usual "that is what happens when a dock settles etc". The team came out to the site, made adjustments, then came back unannounced a week later to make sure the changes made were what we wanted and if anything else needed to be done. I can't tell you how pleasing it was to have that kind of service.  To be clear, we are happy customers. We do not have an affiliation with the company nor an interest in it. We are taking the time to write this review because WaterJack took the time to take care of us. It is that simple.  Negatives if any: Yes, a minor one. Casey and his team are busy and the summertime brings the stress of everybody wanting their dock built now. The construction as stated above was perfect and the dock in my opinion is a literally a show piece. However, it took much longer to construct than we had planned. We had a family event planned and the dock was about 75% complete and this was a disappointment. However, when I mentioned this to Casey he understood the dilemma and sent a crew out to our home to get the dock "functional" in time for the party. Was it perfect, nearly. Was it functional and made the event a success.......yes. Who in this current climate would go that far to make sure you are happy? You just don't see service like that these days.  Advice: If you are going to build a dock, you have some great choices on the lake. If you value service, a work with you attitude and don't mind a little more time getting it constructed, then WaterJack is an excellent choice. The crews do not cut corners, they are well experienced, very personal and will do whatever it takes to make sure you are happy. If you are not sure of the design aspects, WaterJack can offer you some creative solutions.  Miscellaneous: Casey Nicholls, owner of WaterJack was introduced to me via another firm on the lake that closed its doors. He specialized in lifts, lift designs and dock building. Hence the name Water Jack. In the construction of our dock we wanted "clean lines" and functionality. Because of the company's access to various lift solutions, we had the option of installing "Sunlifts" via a solar powered system. This added feature was in addition to the cost of the dock but gave the project a very neat and clean finish. It also provided us with many more options than we thought possible.

We are grateful for the results and truly enjoyed working with the WaterJack team.  We used this company to both remove a old/existing boat lift and replace it with one of their newer models up on Lake Norman at a private dock and they did a outstanding job. If you happen to be in the market for a boat lift keep in mind that you aren't going to get out alive without shelling out anywhere from 6k-11k for a new one. That being said this company came in middle of the road with their pricing however they shot to the moon with both their customer service and the quality of lift.

- John Veluche, Lake Norman (2011)

Casey did a wonderful job of listening to my concerns and fitting our tight time frame. They had hit a small snafu with a mismatched part on the day of the install but the owner had his people out there working on it all day and well into the evening so that their problem never became our (the customers) problem. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the market for a boat lift for their dock.

WaterJack planned and completed the dock build for our new home. This included a permenant structure with a sitting and lounging area as well as a u shaped floating dock.  From the very first call, Casey was very personable and had quite a few helpful hints regarding design. He did a great job differenciating his product from some of the other builders that we had spoken with and were were quite pleased with the outcome. Consistent communication and an honest timeline were provided. The crew was also a pleasure to work with during this build. I would recommend WaterJack to anyone considering building a dock in Mountain Island Lake or any other area in which they operate.

Proffessional People In The Dock & Boat Lift Biz.  I was refered to WaterJack through the marina I keep my boat at.  My boat lift tanks cracked this winter and the lift had to be removed, repaired, and reinstalled. Casey communicated several very reasonable alternatives and NEVER once implied the lift was junk and that I would be better off replacing it.  Once I decided what avenue to take, they came and got it, did what they said they would do, for what they said they would do it for, and reinstalled the lift promptly.  These guys work hard, efficiently, and most importantly Casey ALWAYS returned my calls and emails with in an hour or two of me contacting him, very rare trait of businesses in the south.
